Breast Enlargement Procedure Details
On the day of surgery, you will have a final consultation with Valencia Plastic Surgeon Dr. Hu. Your breast augmentation procedure will be performed under general anesthesia. Dr. Hu offers four incision options:
- Periareolar (around the edge of the nipple)
- Inframammary (under the breast)
- Transaxillary (through the armpit)
- Transumbilical (through the belly button, done endoscopically).
Valencia Plastic Surgeon Dr. Hu can place the implants underneath the muscle (submuscular) or over the muscle (subglandular). Dr. Hu prefers submuscular placement, but always considers the potential benefits subglandular implant placement may provide your unique case. Together you and Dr. Hu will decide the best location for your implants, while minimizing the visibility of any possible scarring.
You may be sore for a few days after your breast augmentation procedure, but soon you will be able to resume your normal activities.
