The amount of time needed for your CO2 laser treatment will depend on the area being treated. Most treatments take approximately two hours or less. The results are well worth it!
The CO2 laser can create a sensation that feels similar to “pins and needles,” or a band snapping against your skin. While you will feel the treatment, most patients find it is not exceptionally painful to undergo, although people vary in response.
Each individual’s healing time can vary. You can expect some downtime with a CO2 laser treatment. For approximately two to seven days, your skin will scab and peel, and it will continue to be pink for about three weeks. Most find that it takes seven to ten days to feel comfortable going out in public.
