In general, the most uncomfortable time after breast augmentation surgery is the first few days.\u00a0 Usually after four or five days there is no more need for pain medication.\u00a0 The swelling and firmness of the breasts can take a few weeks to subside.\u00a0 The final size of the breasts can be determined at about six weeks.\u00a0 It is very common during that time for one breast to feel or look different from the other.\u00a0 As far as exercise goes, I tell patients to follow the “3 and 6” rule – no exercise for 3 weeks; after 3 weeks the patient can resume lower body exercise (walking, running, spinning), and after 6 weeks the patient can resume core and upper body exercise (sit-ups, push-ups, squats, lifting weights).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
