Under general anesthesia, one or more incisions will be made in the groin area, allowing Dr. Hu to access internal tissues to trim and tighten them. Sometimes liposuction will be performed prior to skin removal. The outer skin is then trimmed to fit your new contours, and then the incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures. In more severe cases, a vertical incision along the inner thigh area may also be required.
Once the procedure is finished, a compression bandage will be placed around your thighs to help provide comfort and speed up your healing. Dr. Hu may also place a tube in one or both thighs to help with drainage, particularly if a great deal of fat has been removed.
